BIM/VDC Technician – Plumbing Systems

We’re a top-tier commercial plumbing contractor based in Northeast Ohio with a reputation for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a talented BIM/VDC Technician to model, coordinate, and deliver high-performing plumbing systems for some of the region’s most complex construction projects.
What You’ll Do
As a BIM/VDC Technician, you’ll take ownership of Revit modeling and coordination for plumbing systems across a variety of building types, including:
- Hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Stadiums and large venues
- Manufacturing and industrial plants
- K–12 schools, universities, retail, and mixed-use developments
You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, estimators, and field supervisors to translate design intent into accurate, buildable models and documentation—from initial layout through coordination, fabrication, and final as-builts.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed 3D plumbing system models using Revit and Trimble SysQue
- Lead or support multi-trade BIM coordination efforts using Navisworks Manage or Revizto
- Generate shop drawings, spool sheets, layout plans, and as-built documentation
- Participate in project meetings (virtual and in-person) with architects, engineers, general contractors, and trades
- Perform job site visits to verify field conditions and gather as-built data as needed
- Incorporate construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and clash resolutions into the model
- Assist with constructability reviews and value engineering proposals
- Support estimating, procurement, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who understands the plumbing trade and thrives in a digital-first, fast-paced construction environment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- 2 years of hands-on Revit experience in a construction setting (SysQue highly preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing system layout, code, and installation practices
- Familiarity with Navisworks Manage and/or Revizto for clash detection and coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam for PDF markups
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and isometric plans
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with Trimble layout systems or point cloud modeling a plus
- Degree or background in construction management, drafting, engineering, or relevant trade experience
