As part of our continued growth, we are launching a new initiative focused on public market research — expanding our analytical capabilities to include the valuation of publicly traded companies, including REITs and other non-real-estate equities.
Position Overview
Gorjian Acquisitions is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Equity Research Analyst to join our investment team. This is a new position, offering a rare opportunity to build an internal equity research function from the ground up. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of financial modeling and valuation principles and a passion for understanding how public market dynamics intersect with real asset investment strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze publicly traded companies, including REITs and select non-real-estate sectors.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, NAV, multiples-based, etc.).
- Monitor quarterly earnings, investor presentations, and macroeconomic trends impacting relevant sectors.
- Prepare written and visual reports summarizing company outlooks, investment theses, and valuation updates.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support firm-wide strategy and investment decisions.
- Contribute to the development of internal market dashboards, watchlists, and comparative analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or CFA progress a plus).
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills; proficiency in Excel required.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with financial data platforms (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, or similar) preferred.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Compensation
Competitive and commensurate with experience, anticipated in the range of $85,000–$105,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus potential.
