Landscape Labor / Driver
-Current, valid Driver's License Required -- if you do NOT have a driver's license, do not apply.
Employees meet each morning at our location in Kenner (near airport) each workday at 6am and teams are driven to job sites
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Landscape Laborer to join our team. As a Landscape Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to enhance and maintain outdoor spaces. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and appearance of trees
- Assist in the construction of various landscape features, such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Provide general tree care, including planting, watering, and fertilizing
- Operate and maintain mechanical equipment used for landscaping purposes
- Mow lawns and maintain grassy areas by edging, weeding, and applying fertilizers
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants
- Assist with garden maintenance, including planting flowers, weeding, and mulching
- Perform hardscape maintenance, such as repairing or replacing pavers or stones
- we are NOT looking for grass cutters
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or related field preferred
- Knowledge of tree care techniques and practices
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in landscaping
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repairs is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently
