We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver ( 16 ft box truck) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and efficient delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of their daily responsibilities. A commitment to safety and adherence to traffic regulations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products during transport.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage and delivery times.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems or maps to optimize delivery routes.
- Assist in warehouse duties loading and unloading truck
- Some simple installs if appliances required
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is preferred.
- Experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as part of daily operations.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is desirable but not mandatory.
