Qualifications
- Experience in litigation support and case management.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience drafting and organizing discovery – both written discovery and document production.
- Experience preparing for and assisting at trial.
- Familiarity with Connecticut State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedures; knowledge of Massachusetts Rules is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and technical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff.
- Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery.
- Research, organize, and summarize records as needed to assist in data gathering, including organizing information and documents in databases.
- Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, and live trial support.
- Other duties as assigned.
