POSITION SUMMARY
This position performs day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner to uphold a sanitary healing institution.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Cleans and services patient rooms, offices and hallways, as well as other inpatient, outpatient and ancillary areas.
- Promotes and ensures patient and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
- Ensures proper supplies and equipment are maintained.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE OF IMPACT
Maintains assigned area in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition.
Qualifications:POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
- Working in environmental services in a healthcare setting preferred
- Housekeeping preferred
Licensure and Certification:
- None Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of:
- Cleaning products preferred
- Basic cleaning procedures preferred
- Relationship of sanitation and infection control preferred
- Skills in:
