Position Summary
Gordon, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support the full scope of human resources operations at our Bossier City facility. This role is ideal for a collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about supporting employees and driving a positive workplace culture aligned with our core values of ethics, involvement, and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Partner with hiring managers to source, screen, interview, and select candidates for manufacturing, technical, and administrative roles. Manage the full-cycle recruitment process and conduct effective new hire orientations and onboarding.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions and concerns. Support performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes while promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Benefits & Compensation Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment, leave administration (FMLA, workers’ comp, etc.), payroll support, and compensation processes.
- HR Compliance & Administration: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, update policies, and prepare reports as needed.
- Training & Development: Coordinate training programs, support employee development initiatives, and help foster a culture of continual improvement.
- HR Projects & Support: Contribute to special projects such as policy development, employee engagement activities, ESOP communications, and HR metrics reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws (EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Experience with APS Online and APS Hire preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
