What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASP Student Worker position at Gordon County Schools?
A person selected for this position will be responsible for supervising children in the Gordon County Schools after care program.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least eighteen (17) years of age.
- Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the district’s program and philosophy.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises the classroom/activity area.
- Helps with the general housekeeping tasks.
- Maintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the district at all times.
- Treats all children with dignity and respect.
- Attends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferences.
- Helps to maintain a neat and organized classroom/activity area.
- Supervises all activities to ensure safety at all times.
- Reports the Director and/or Assistant Director any problem which may occur with the children.
- Performs additional program duties as assigned by the Director and/or Assistant Director according to the district’s needs.
- Participates in dismissal procedures at the end of after care, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adult.
- Maintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the district at all times.
- Works with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphere.
