Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is a multidenominational, evangelical graduate school committed to equipping Christian leaders to think theologically, engage globally, and live biblically. With nearly 1,400 students across campuses in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Florida, and online, Gordon-Conwell’s student body represents more than eighty-five denominations and fifty countries. The seminary offers master’s and doctoral programs—delivered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese—that combine academic excellence, spiritual formation, and a deep commitment to Scripture. Its 12,000 alumni serve Christ through ministry in the church, the academy, and the workplace. Gordon-Conwell is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, the New England Commission of Higher Education, and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs.


Position Summary:    


The Admissions Representative joins a dynamic Admissions Team at four GCTS locations and drives recruiting for Networked Education students and networking and events in the Charlotte, NC area, and beyond. The position entails extensive domestic travel to recruiting events. The Admissions Representative supports the entire Admissions team on functions based on the academic calendar. 




Key Responsibilities


1.    Recruiting (70%)


a.    Serve as the primary recruiter for Networked Education prospective students in the MDiv, MATS, and MACM programs, but can support leads for all GCTS programs.


b.    Through written and oral communications, follow up with leads and applicants to ensure their timely progress through the admissions process. 


c.    Manage and document all lead activity (calls, emails, visits) in HubSpot


d.    Meet with prospective students who visit the Charlotte location 


e.    Manage and maintain strong relationships with key influencers of prospective students and expand the name recognition of the seminary, especially in the Charlotte area. 


f.    Develop and nurture working relationships with GCTS faculty and others in Administration to support recruiting efforts. 


g.    Collaborate with colleagues at all locations to support Admissions team functions




2.    Conferences, Events & Travel (20%)


a.    Represent the seminary on field visits, including transportation, setup, and takedown of seminary public relations displays and publications; reinforce seminary ties on such field trips (e.g., with alumni and college faculty).


b.    Plan and execute recruitment/enrollment management events in Charlotte, such as Explore Seminary and church visits.




3.    Other duties as assigned (10%)

·    Communication and Interpersonal Effectiveness: Exceptional interpersonal abilities manifested in a confident, warm, outgoing manner. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and serve in a team environment that requires collegiality and regular collaboration across multiple locations and modalities. 


·    Technical Knowledge: Basic database management skills and the ability to leverage technology is required. Required competency with Microsoft Office, prioritizing Word and Excel. The ability to use web conferencing software (e.g., Zoom) preferred. 


·    Travel: Ability to travel and recruit at a distance is required. Occasional weekends and evenings may be required.


•    Language: Fluency in Korean, Spanish or Portuguese a plus.


·    Clear understanding of the mission of the Seminary and willingness to abide by the Statement of Faith and Community Life Statement of GCTS. 




Education and Experience


•    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required, graduate theological degree preferred. 


•    Previous experience in higher education enrollment management (preferably in admissions), or relevant recruiting experience in another field. 


•    Pastoral experience is a plus, given that the Admissions team interacts with potential students as well as pastors and denominational leaders. 


•    Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport required.

Salary : $40,000 - $42,000
