Position Summary:
The Roofer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems. This position requires physical endurance, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing.
- Remove old roofing materials and properly dispose of debris.
- Load and unload roofing materials and equipment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to specifications.
- Assist with flashing installation, sealing, and waterproofing.
- Set up ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment.
- Always Follow Gordon’s safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Work collaboratively with foreman and crew members to complete projects on schedule.
- Identify and report roof damage or potential safety concerns.
- Travel to various job sites as required.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous construction or roofing experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
