Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Staff Accountant role based in Albany, NY. The Staff Accountant will support the company's financial operations by managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes. The role will also include maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating audits, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will monitor financial transactions, analyze variances, and support the preparation of tax filings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management
- Experience with accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Strong skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency with accounting software and tools, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processes
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus
- Previous experience in real estate or property management accounting is preferred
