Pay: $24-$26/hr, plus $2/hr additional when working overnight hours
Position Description:
The Assistant Brewer supports the 24-hr brewing process by performing various tasks in the brewhouse, cellar, and packaging areas. This entry-level position provides hands-on experience with brewing, with opportunities to learn in a fast-paced, automated environment. The Assistant Brewer will work closely with senior brewing staff, ensuring the highest levels of quality and cleanliness.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in the brewing process from wort production through fermentation.
- Support daily brewhouse operations, including tank cleaning, filtration, and yeast management.
- Conduct CIP procedures on brewing and packaging equipment.
- Monitor fermentation processes and support quality control efforts.
- Maintain a clean and organized brewing environment.
- Participate in the handling and storage of raw materials.
- Document brewing processes and assist with data entry for plant efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Brewer or Assistant Brewmaster.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous brewing, winery, or distillery experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Rotating Shifts every ~12 weeks Overnight/Days/Afternoons (10p/6a/2p start), 5 x 8 hr shifts per week
