Responsibilities
Automotive Service Adviser Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet and consult customers on service needs
- Build strong customer relationships
- Perform a thorough vehicle walk-around inspection as part of the write-up
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers by recommending services recommended and performed in addition to keeping the customer updated on services
- Sell and up-sell services by emphasizing the value
- Follow-ups regarding unsold services and customer inquires
- Field all live service calls
- Performs opening and closing responsibilities
- Communicate with Technicians to make sure part needs are met & Coordinate workload based on customer needs
- Know the product well enough to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vehicle.
- Assists with the coordination of alternate transportation, rental car reservations, shuttle, etc.
- Performs other duties as requested
Skills
- 5 years in a service writer role experience strongly preferred
- Dealership/Independent shop experience a must
- Must be computer proficient
- Excellent customer service skills
- Demonstrates extreme attention to detail
- Great professional communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
