About the Position:
The Precision Ag Internship is a hands-on, immersive learning experience designed for students who want real-world exposure to modern precision agriculture at the dealership level. This is not a job-shadow-only role. You will actively contribute to projects, work directly with customers and internal teams, and gain practical experience with cutting-edge ag technology used by growers today. Interns will rotate through key areas of the Precision Ag & Sales Departments, with opportunities to specialize based on interests and performance. Experiences may include data management, field support, operations, and agronomy-driven technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with real Precision Ag projects that support customers and dealership operations
- Support data management tasks such as setup, organization, and seasonal data workflows
- Participate in field support activities including equipment setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
- Shadow and assist Precision Ag Specialists, Sales, and Agronomy-related roles
- Participate in internal and external training related to Precision Ag technology and agronomic practices
- Assist with customer clinics, demonstrations, and promotional or educational events
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, professionalism, and customer service
- Quote and sell precision ag components and upgrades
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Agriculture, Precision Ag, Agronomy, Ag Business, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Strong interest in precision agriculture, technology, and modern farming practices
- Ability to learn new systems, tools, and technology quickly
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel between Gooseneck Implement locations, including occasional overnight stays
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving authorization check
