Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Morning Milker to join our small farm team. This vital role involves responsible animal care, precise milking procedures, and maintaining the health and well-being of our dairy livestock. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about farm operations, ensuring smooth daily routines during morning shifts. Need to have reliable transportation.
Milking starts at 6am every morning. This position would be about 3-4 hours a day Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform milking operations efficiently and hygienically during designated morning and evening shifts, ensuring the comfort and safety of the animals.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, identifying signs of illness or distress promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of milking equipment, barns, and surrounding areas to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Assist with general animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, watering, and bedding.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skidloader and other farm machinery safely for material handling or facility maintenance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
