What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Kennel Technician position at Goose Creek Bed and Biscuit?
We are seeking a pet lover to join our team!
Goose Creek Bed and Biscuit is a premium boarding and daycare facility where visiting pets are part of our family. Pets come to stay with us while their parents are away or visit with us for playtime with their friends. We want to provide each dog and cat with the best experience possible.
Job duties of a Kennel Technician include:
- Sanitation/Maintenance of facility
- Daily clean and disinfect kennels and walking dogs
- Clean and sanitize toys, beds, and feeding bowls
- Feeding dogs and cats
- Providing exercise and playtime for dogs and cats
- Provide quality customer service
Caring for each pet as if it were your own!
Characteristics:
- Able to perform several tasks concurrently, time management and good organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to safely lift 45 pounds and safely handle, hold and restrain active dogs
- Able to remain on one’s feet, standing, walking, bending and/or stooping on cement for extended periods.
- Able to work different day and weekend shifts – weekend and holiday work are required.
- Take direction and show initiative; cooperate with coworkers.
Experience: Prior pet handling, training and dog health care experience preferred but not required
