Position Overview
Goose Creek Architectural Millwork is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician to support the fabrication of custom architectural doors and millwork for ultra-high-end residential construction projects.
This role combines hands-on shop production with digital workflow support, including interpreting shop drawings and assisting with CAD/CAM-driven fabrication processes. The position is best suited for an adult candidate with manufacturing, carpentry, woodworking, or CNC production experience who is interested in long-term growth within a specialized trade environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fabrication, assembly, and finishing preparation of custom doors and millwork components
- Interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production schedules
- Support CAD/CAM workflows and CNC production setup (training available)
- Operate and maintain woodworking equipment in accordance with safety standards
- Perform sanding, material staging, packaging, and shop organization
- Coordinate with project leadership on production timelines and quality standards
- Assist with loading, deliveries, and occasional jobsite support
Qualifications
- Experience in woodworking, millwork, finish carpentry, cabinetmaking, or manufacturing preferred
- Working knowledge of CAD software and/or CAM-based production environments strongly preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with CNC machinery, digital fabrication, or shop automation is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in an active shop environment
Compensation & Schedule
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience: $20 - $35/hour
