The Role:
The Executive Kitchen Manager at goop kitchen will be responsible for overseeing the daily culinary operations of the kitchen, ensuring the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes in line with our clean, health-conscious standards. This position will work closely with the Sr. Director of Kitchen Operations, Area CDC, and kitchen staff to maintain the integrity of our menu, drive innovation in our offerings, and support Goop Kitchen’s mission of promoting nutritious, flavorful, and sustainable eating.
What You’ll Do (Job Description):
- Lead daily BOH operations and uphold Goop Kitchen’s culinary standards
- Train, coach, and develop a high-performing NYC kitchen team
- Ensure recipe adherence, portion control, and consistent execution
- Partner with leadership on sourcing sustainable, seasonal ingredients
- Maintain NYC DOH compliance, HACCP standards, and strict sanitation protocols
- Manage food & labor costs with a systems-driven approach
- Drive a culture of “Detect, Fix, Prevent” and continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring (Requirements):
- We need a culture-first kitchen leader who believes great food starts with great people. Someone who embraces radical transparency, champions team development, and drives “unthinkable consistency” while elevating standards every day.
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager, CDC, Exec Chef, or BOH leader in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with SOP, procedures, and system implementation
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Highly organized, effective in a new restaurant opening environment
- Passion for sustainability and ingredient integrity
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Based in NYC area and have experience working in the city
- ServSafe certified
