About Us
Googols of Learning Child Development Center is a full-time childcare facility serving up to 122 children, ages 1 to 6. We are dedicated to fostering the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of each child through high-quality, developmentally appropriate experiences. As a PBS program site that implements Anti-Bias Education, we emphasize Positive Behavioral Support strategies to help children develop essential social and emotional skills for kindergarten and beyond. Our team of dedicated educators works collaboratively to create an inclusive, engaging, and enriching learning environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize scaffolding and motivational strategies, including positive reinforcement, to engage and support children in their learning.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate weekly lesson plans, incorporating hands-on activities that promote curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving based on children's individual learning styles.
- Conduct developmental screenings using ASQ screeners, maintain organized progress reports, and track observations to assess children's growth. Share findings with families during conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and high-quality care, including training new staff on classroom expectations and licensing standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment by maintaining and modeling our PBS expectations: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be a Team Player.
Qualifications & Requirements
- At least one year of teaching experience in a licensed childcare center working with infants, toddlers, or twos OR a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential specializing in infant/toddler care.
- Strong knowledge of child development theory and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to support a positive learning environment.
- Ability to self-motivate and take initiative in the classroom.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with lesson planning software, newsletters, and ASQ reporting.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
