Job Summary
Goofy Graphics is a creative sign and print shop specializing in custom vinyl decals, signage, stickers, and unique retail items. We are a high volume sign shop dedicated to helping local businesses bring their ideas to life through design, print and creative expression. We are looking for someone who can assist with designs, production, vinyl cutting/ weeding, installation, work order management, communication with clients and vendors. Reliability and attention to detail are a must.
Responsibilities
- Develop designs for signage, branding materials, digital content, and marketing campaigns using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Square Invoicing, Microsoft
- Assist in the production and installation of signs, banners, and other physical graphics in the sign shop, ensuring quality control and adherence to specifications.
- Support the layout design for print advertising, presentation materials, and web content with a keen understanding of typography, color management, and layout principles.
- Manage digital files efficiently, maintain organized project archives, and ensure accurate color matching across print and digital media.
- Contribute ideas for marketing strategies and posting content to social media showcasing the process and finished projects.
Requirements
- 2 years and proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing digital art, logo design, branding projects, and sign manufacturing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and familiarity with Vector vs Raster graphics, pen tool, pre-press/ page layout
- Knowledge of vinyl cutting and plotter operation, vinyl weeding and the application of transfer tape.
- Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout design, and visual storytelling principles.
- Experience with sign production processes including layout design for large-format printing and sign fabrication techniques.
- Excellent presentation skills to communicate ideas clearly to clients or team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
