Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile GMT (General Maintenance Technician) to join our team, dedicated to maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of our facilities. As a key player in our maintenance operations, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance tasks across various building systems. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; repair or replace faulty electrical equipment as needed.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage automated systems within the facility.
• Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain building integrity and aesthetics.
• Maintain facilities equipment including hand tools, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, and HVAC units; document all work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee subcontractors or team members during complex repairs or installations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management, ensuring high-quality customer service by addressing issues efficiently and professionally.
• Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities; interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately for repairs or installations.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory to ensure compliance with operational standards.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical work, plumbing systems, HVAC systems including repair and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters, and familiarity with CMMS software for work order management.
• Strong mechanical knowledge encompassing carpentry, welding, painting (including residential painting), and general building interior maintenance.
• Experience with facilities maintenance including MRO (maintenance, repair & operations), plumbing system maintenance & repair, HVAC system repair & HVAC troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in maintenance teams or projects; ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and customer service interactions.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics accurately; experience with electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting essential.
• Knowledge of manufacturing environments or residential settings is a plus; familiarity with CMMS platforms preferred.
