Responsibilities
- Prepares food in accordance with planned menu.
- Record accurate temperatures.
- Follow cooking schedule to ensure food will be ready at specified times.
- Set up and operate equipment for daily food preparation.
- Provide clean and sanitized dishes and utensils for residents.
- Maintain high standards of personal cleanliness and hygiene.
- Scrape, wash, and put away dishes.
- Follow proper safety protocol.
- Other duties assigned by manager as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience cooking in a facility of 20 residents.
- Ability to bend, twist, stand and walk for required shift.
- Must have Safe Serv Food Handler's certification.
- Apply basic skills and may develop skills appropriate for the position.
- Requires knowledge of all kitchen equipment.
This job is ideal for someone who is dependable - (more reliable than spontaneous),
people-oriented -(enjoys interacting with people), and autonomous/independent - (enjoys working with little direction).
