This is a volunteer remote role as a Grant Writer at the Canadian Conservation Photographers Collective (CCPC). As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for identifying and researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and preparing supporting documents. Your work will contribute to the collective's efforts in securing funding for conservation and science education initiatives.

As a Grant Writer, you will be responsible for identifying and researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and preparing supporting documents. Your work will contribute to the collective's efforts in securing funding for conservation and science education initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify suitable grant and funding opportunities in Canada and internationally
- Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and supporting materials
- Maintain organized records of grant deadlines, submissions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with team members to gather project details, budgets, and success stories
- Track and report on grant results
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify relevant funding opportunities
- Excellent writing skills and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant writing
- Attention to detail and ability to adhere to grant application guidelines and deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet project objectives
- Knowledge of conservation and science education initiatives is a plus
- Experience collaborating with a national network of conservation photographers
- The opportunity to strengthen your grant writing portfolio with real-world projects
- Insight into conservation communications and environmental funding landscapes in Canada
- Mentorship and feedback from experienced members of the collective
