We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer / Senior MEP Project Manager to lead complex building design and construction projects across healthcare, education, federal, and state/local government sectors. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong project leadership, and the ability to oversee electrical engineering teams while managing client relationships.
The position includes light travel, a strong bonus program, and significant long-term growth potential, including future technical leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering and MEP project teams through planning, design, coordination, and construction
- Oversee electrical system design, including medium-voltage and high-voltage distribution, commercial power systems, and complex building infrastructure
- Manage project budgets, schedules, documentation, and quality control
- Review and approve drawings, specifications, submittals, and engineering work performed by team members
- Serve as a technical mentor and support the development of engineering staff
- Engage with clients, support business development discussions, and ensure strong project delivery
- Support design for healthcare, education, federal, and state/local government facilities
- Contribute to growth initiatives in the Lincoln and Omaha markets
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (electrical emphasis)
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- 8 years of electrical engineering or MEP design experience in a consulting or design environment
- Proven experience with healthcare, educational, federal/DoD, and state/local government projects
- Strong capabilities in project management, budgeting, and team leadership
- Expertise in medium-voltage and high-voltage distribution and commercial electrical systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client-facing responsibilities
- U.S. Citizen
- Experience leading multi-phase, modernization, or large institutional projects
- Ability to step into a senior technical or office leadership track as the team grows
- RCDD certification or ability to obtain
- Strong writing skills for specifications, proposals, and technical documentation
- Salary range generally aligns with senior-level engineering compensation in Nebraska markets
- Heavy bonus potential based on company, office, and individual performance
- Light travel; majority of work remains local or regional
