Senior Accountant

We are continuing to invest in AI and RPA technology to automate processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen financial operations. In this role, you’ll combine your accounting expertise with technology, analytics, and process improvement to help drive meaningful change across the organization.

You’ll work closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams, gaining a broader understanding of how business decisions impact financial operations — and how accounting can help drive those decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and monitor accounts, ledgers, and financial reporting systems while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Leverage Oracle Fusion to improve reconciliations, journal entries, and accounting processes.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and checklists are maintained and updated as processes evolve.
• Utilize Oracle Fusion, AI, and RPA to identify opportunities to streamline and automate key accounting processes.
• Assist with implementing technology solutions for Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, and Master Data Management.
• Partner with the Accounting Manager to maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Lead the fixed asset process, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, asset records, and reconciliation of the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger.
• Maintain journal entry closing checklists and ensure appropriate documentation supports journal entries, calculations, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with tax planning across company entities and monitor changes to tax regulations that may impact the business.
• Administer customer rebate programs, including monthly, quarterly, and annual calculations, reconciliations, reporting, and coordination with the sales team.
• Serve as the lead backup for vendor rebate management, billing, and accounting functions.
• Work directly with external accountants, consultants, and legal partners to support the external compilation process.
• Provide training and education to employees on key accounting and financial concepts and metrics relevant to their departments.
• Stay current on accounting pronouncements and communicate relevant updates throughout the organization.
• Analyze existing accounting processes and make recommendations for improvements, efficiencies, and best practices.
• Support additional accounting initiatives as needed, including lease administration, inventory cost analysis, capital approval processes, and G/L account setup and maintenance.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 5 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, or tax.
• Experience working with an ERP system preferred.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA licensure preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and applicable accounting standards and regulations.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, and data analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to both accounting and non-accounting audiences.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and accountability.
• A curiosity about technology and a desire to find smarter, more efficient ways to accomplish the work.
