Requirements and Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake interviews to evaluate potential employment-related claims
- Analyze workplace issues involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage violations
- Apply knowledge of federal/state laws such as Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, and state-specific labor codes
- Draft detailed case assessments and legal memos for internal review
- Educate clients on legal rights and next steps in the legal process
- Collaborate with intake staff to ensure thorough and timely follow-ups
- Refer cases internally or externally as appropriate
- Maintain a compassionate and professional tone during high-volume client interactions
Required Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- 3 years of experience in employment law or plaintiff-side litigation
- Strong understanding of federal and state labor laws
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries with empathy and efficiency
- Proficiency with legal intake or case management systems a plus
