About The Role
This position offers hands-on experience in a sophisticated insurance practice, including both litigation and coverage-related work. Associates in this group take an active role in case strategy, client interaction, and all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a caseload involving insurance-related litigation and/or coverage matters
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis
- Take and defend depositions, as well as assist with hearings and trial preparation
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop case strategy and deliver high-quality legal services
- 2–5 years of litigation experience, ideally including insurance defense and/or coverage work
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent academic credentials (top 25% of class required)
- Experience drafting substantive motions and managing discovery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission, GA license a plus
- Willingness and ability to relocate to Wake County / Durham County, NC
