Distribution Operations Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• 5 years of leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics environments
• Proven ability to manage and develop large warehouse teams
• Strong understanding of labor planning, productivity metrics, and warehouse operations
• Experience working within food distribution, grocery, manufacturing, retail distribution, or similar high-volume sectors preferred
• Exposure to Oracle ERP or similar operational systems
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement knowledge preferred
  
  

Distribution Operations Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives
• Prior use or implementation of ERP/WMS solutions in a warehouse environment
  
  

Distribution Operations Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment
• Directly manage and coach supervisors and hourly warehouse teams for maximum productivity and performance
• Monitor and achieve key operational KPIs and service levels
• Identify and execute process improvements to drive operational efficiency
• Partner with organizational leadership to optimize workflow and labor strategies
• Ensure safety, OSHA, and company standards are met throughout the facility
• Support enhancements and upgrades to operational technology and warehouse management systems
• Cultivate a positive, team-oriented work culture focused on accountability and growth
