Construction Quality Control Manager Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or similar
• 5 years of combined experience in the commercial construction industry as a superintendent, quality control manager, project manager, or project engineer
• 2 years of direct experience as a quality control manager on large-scale projects with healthcare, hospital, or equivalent operational complexity
• Current USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors Certificate (required)
• Level 1 EM 385-1-1, CRP, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour certifications (can be obtained with company support)
• Computer proficiency with standard business software
  
  

Construction Quality Control Manager Preferred Background & Skills

• Experience with medical facility projects and/or the Department of Defense contracts
• LEED AP, AP , or Green Associate certification
• Specialty inspection training or certifications
• Familiarity with project management and quality software (e.g., Viewpoint/Vista, RMS/QCS)
  
  

Construction Quality Control Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and oversee project-specific quality control plans
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and customer requirements
• Complete all quality documentation and administrative reporting on schedule
• Support site teams with best practices in quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Cultivate strong client relationships and consistently deliver customer satisfaction
• Manage on-site quality inspections, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement
