POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager partners with the Ecommerce Manager in overseeing the operation and ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, human resource management, operating costs and loss prevention. Responsible for motivating, training, and supervising a diverse group of employees. Ensures excellent customer experience.
Education / Experience
6 months sales experience required
Supervisory Experience Preferred
High School/GED preferred

Ability to supervise and motivate employees.
Ability to handle the needs of disabled employees in a sensitive and effective manner.
Ability to maintain marketplace accounts.
Ability to communicate appropriately with coworkers and customers
Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform their duties
Ability to handle merchandise throughout the production process, generally weighing up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to stoop and bend
Willing to perform tasks necessary to ensure continuous operations
Ability to work standard operating hours
Good driving record and Valid Texas drivers license required
RESPONSIBILITIES And DUTIES

Responsible for consistently monitoring process flow (store product from receiving to inventory and from inventory to carrier) and making improvements as necessary. (E)
Responsible for making certain each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly response. Work with manager to provide training and follow up to make certain employees provide each customer with necessary information and photographs for products. (E)
Responsible for intake and inventory management of store product. Create and maintain a system to organize and secure all store product. (E)
Responsible for ensuring all established goals are met or exceeded (sales, production, etc.) (E)
Maintain knowledge of routine pricing and products and train staff of such. (E)
Maintain knowledge of lotting/grouping of product to adhere to minimum price points. (E)
Ability to identify jewelry markings and decipher gem tester readings for accurate gemstone/mineral identification. (E)
Ensure proper packing procedures are followed and guidelines of FedEx and USPS are applied
Partner with Ecommerce Manager to create and maintain a labor deployment that provides consistent production flow. Monitor production lines and take measures to ensure appropriate flow and prevent stoppages. (E)
Partner with Ecommerce manager to appropriately edit and approve time. (E)
In conjunction with Ecommerce Manager, facilitate floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping. (E)
Follow budgetary guidelines and improve processes to meet or exceed those guidelines. (E)
Must be able to navigate inventory management software, webapps and marketplace websites, etc. (E)
Work with Ecommerce Manager to hire and train new staff, as well as provide ongoing training.
Train and educate staff regarding behavior, productivity and attendance. Inform Ecommerce Manager of issues or potential issues. (E)
Enforce and adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices including signage, pricing and loss prevention. (E)
Provide training, direction, encouragement and motivation to program participants as outlined by Mission Services (E)
Process all required documentation and paperwork accurately and timely. (E)
Partner with Ecommerce Manager to complete competencies and evaluations thoroughly and timely. (E)
