The Career Navigator works collaboratively with participants to identify barriers, set short‑ and long‑term goals, and connect them with appropriate resources, training, and employment opportunities.

The Career Navigator works collaboratively with participants to identify barriers, set short‑ and long‑term goals, and connect them with appropriate resources, training, and employment opportunities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide employment resources, job search support, and referrals to appropriate training programs.
- Develop, update, and maintain individualized development plans (IDPs) for each participant.
- Document all services, case notes, and participant progress in the electronic case management system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct biweekly status updates and maintain complete, compliant participant files in accordance with Goodwill policies and CARF standards.
- Administer assessments based on participants’ employment goals, education level, and skill needs.
- Meet with participants at least twice per month (in‑person or virtual, as appropriate) to monitor progress and adjust goals.
- Provide regular updates to referring agencies, employers, and internal staff supporting participant success.
- Facilitate or assist with workshops, classes, hiring events, and other program activities across Goodwill’s service area.
- Participate in rotating front desk coverage for breaks and lunches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and stay informed about local resources.
- Screen participants to match skills and interests with employer needs; refer to internal training programs when appropriate.
- Collaborate with program staff to identify and coordinate work-based learning opportunities.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and positive environment for employees, customers, and participants.
- Meet or exceed attendance expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, or related field preferred.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in job search assistance, job training, career coaching, or case management required.
- Experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of employers strongly preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Goodwill’s service area required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data privacy standards.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including case management software, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends.
- Cultural competency and the ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing barriers to employment.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and motivational interviewing techniques preferred.
