What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Goodwill of the Great Plains?
We are seeking a Custodian Worker to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the public, staff, and persons served. This will be accomplished by cleaning all halls, restrooms, windows, corridors, and other public areas. This position will be responsible for working with our persons served and teaching them how to perform the job while they do it themselves. The majority of this job will be cleaning and yard work with the persons served.
Position Type: Full-Time
Wages: $18.71 - $19.06 hourly

Responsibilities:
- Address building and grounds-related concerns in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Perform lawn-mowing, yard work, and snow removal duties at various Goodwill locations as needed
- Perform janitorial duties around the support center
- Perform routine maintenance and repair functions pertaining to buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Troubleshoot ideas and offer various building and grounds projects
Requirements:
- High school graduate, GED, and/or graduate of vocational/technical school. Previous practical work experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Must posses good analytical and mechanical skills and knowledge of basic tools necessary to perform repair work.
- Valid Driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle insurance
