Job Responsibilities

Training
-
Directly responsible for all classroom curriculum, including resume writing, resume submission, and mock interview classes.
-
Participate in the development of new training and programs designed to increase employment opportunities for program participants.

Perform job search training, resume and interview preparations with program participants
-
Directly responsible for conducting employment readiness 1:1 with each client bi-weekly for those assigned to you

Caseload Management
-
Responsible for conducting weekly Case Management meetings, coordinating with Case Managers and Peer Mentors to ensure program participants are adequately prepared for job search in a timely manner.

May transport program participants to job interviews

Report to the Program Manager all progress and participant or staff related issues

Submit data and activity reports when needed

Connect and Guide
-
Directly responsible for job placement of all program participants assigned

Responsible for job placement of participants and meeting the proposed outcomes
-
Ensure smooth transition for participants in subsidized employment to permanent employment

Advocate on behalf of program participants with employers
-
Closely monitor all program participants job search activity
-
Implement & guide goals outlined in the Individual Service Plan for each program participant

Represent Goodwill Silicon Valley
-
Represent Mission Services and Goodwill in the community through participation in appropriate organizations and networking events

Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
-
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with strong communication skills. Preferably possess vehicle, insurance, CDL and excellent driving record. computer literacy and knowledge of MS office required.

Working conditions

The job is performed indoors in a climatically controlled setting in cooperation with co-workers. There is regular contact with the public, business, and community agencies. The position requires minimal supervision.
Emotional Effort

Moderate: Occasional short deadlines. The work environment is occasionally hectic with occasional high activity, with great emphasis on teamwork.
Physical requirements

The job involves sedentary and light work. Light work requires lifting no more than 20 lbs and frequent lifting and or carrying items weighing 10 lbs.

Light work differs from sedentary work in that it requires substantially more walking and standing and the lifting required is frequent; or that repetitive manipulation of clothing or other items while seated or standing is frequent.
Pay range
$28 - $32 per hour
