What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing courteous and professional customer service that creates a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Assist clients with completing applications, forms, and navigating program information across available social service programs.
- Review submitted documents for completeness and accuracy, gathering the information needed to support eligibility determination.
- Conduct follow-up with clients as needed to obtain missing documentation, clarify information, or provide status updates.
- Enter and maintain accurate client data in automated systems, ensuring records are current and complete.
- Address routine client concerns with professionalism, providing clear explanations and directing clients to appropriate resources when needed.
- Collaborate with team members and program staff to ensure clients receive timely and coordinated service.
- Experience in customer service or direct client-facing roles, with a demonstrated ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse individuals.
- Familiarity with social service programs, benefits applications, or eligibility processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when reviewing documents and maintaining records.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry; ability to learn and navigate automated case management systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly to clients.
- Ability to handle a variety of routine client concerns calmly and effectively, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
