What You’ll Do
- Follow safety policies and procedures to ensure the maximum safety, security, and protection of all customers and company assets.
- Use wet or dry mop and/or auto scrubber to clean floors; promptly clean spills and hazards and place caution signs to maintain a safe environment.
- Dust office furniture, cabinets, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Empty and clean trash and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
- Ensure restrooms are cleaned, disinfected, and fully stocked at all times.
- Clean and sanitize fixtures, countertops, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Wipe down glass windows, doors, and elevator surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep entryways and walkways and remove litter from building exteriors.
- Secure facilities after the completion of janitorial duties, as applicable.
- Maintain storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Inform the supervisor when supplies need replenishing and report any equipment maintenance or repair needs.
- Work cooperatively with all internal and external customers to promote the achievement of Goodwill’s mission.
- Basic knowledge of standard cleaning equipment, supplies, and techniques.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
