Rate of Pay: $18.00 an hour

Position Summary - The S.T.E.P. Associate – Facilities Management Associate position is responsible for the sanitation and cleaning of the Delaware Food Works side of the Food Bank of Delaware facility. This role will operate under the direction of the Facilities Manager and report to the Specialized Training Lead staff. Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to, the general overall cleanliness and appearance of the facility, pest control checks, sanitizing of all high-touch areas of the facility multiple times daily, and any other sanitation-related tasks identified by management.

Major Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing - Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming floors
- Disinfecting surfaces in common areas - Sanitizing all high-touch areas - Perform routine cleaning of bathrooms, offices, hallways, and other designated areas.
- Windows- clean interior windows
- Assist in maintaining the exterior and landscaping of the facility
- Completing cleaning log
- Other Duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Monitor recycling and waste cans/baskets
- Emptying waste cans/baskets
- Replacing waste cans/baskets with liners
- Properly disposing of waste materials according to procedures
- Monitor, stock, and/or restock cleaning and restroom supplies/amenities
- Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling cleaning agents and chemicals
- Follow other building safety protocols/procedures while working
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Greet staff, visitors, and guests
- Be polite to all staff, visitors, and guests
