What You’ll Do
  • Conduct career interest, aptitude, and exploration assessments; provide individualized career counseling and exploration services.
  • Develop personalized career pathway plans that connect individuals to wrap-around services including education, healthcare, financial assistance, skills training, and employment opportunities.
  • Assist individuals with job applications, resume development, interviewing skills, and job search strategies.
  • Deliver essential skills training including soft skills, professional communication and etiquette, and digital literacy to support job readiness and career advancement.
  • Provide digital skills training to enhance participants’ proficiency in using technology for job search and career exploration.
  • Facilitate study groups, practice labs, and workshops both in-person and virtually; proctor exams and moderate self-paced learning modules on site.
  • Cultivate relationships with employers to identify job opportunities and educate employers and partners about Goodwill’s mission and workforce development initiatives.
  • Stay current on labor market trends, employment opportunities, and career development resources to inform services and programming.
  • Promote Workforce Development services by attending community events, hosting orientations, and presenting to small and large groups.
  • Support employment retention through ongoing career counseling and follow-up services.
  • Enter data into the CaseWorthy case management system and systems required by specific contracts with accuracy and integrity; maintain detailed case files and documentation to track individual progress and outcomes.
  • Assist with program evaluation, reporting, and accountability to achieve quality program outcomes.
  • Maintain Opportunity Hub hardware inventory and report equipment issues.
  • Assist the organization in maintaining compliance with applicable standards and federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive client and program information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • At least two years of experience in human services, workforce development, human resources, training/instruction, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant certifications a plus. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct career assessments and develop personalized career plans.
  • Strong understanding of labor market trends, employment opportunities, and career development resources.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with barriers to employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging in-person and virtual workshops, trainings, and presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable programs; comfortable using case management platforms such as CaseWorthy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and attention to detail; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Flexibility to work evenings or weekends and travel as needed.
