Job Title: Manager, Youth Programs

Locations:  Goodwill North Central Texas --- 4005 Campus Dr., Fort Worth, Texas

Salary: Based on Experience

Work Hours:   Full Time, Exempt. Typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 am start time; evenings and weekends as needed.

General Job Duties:  Monitor Fort Worth site for file compliance. Training all Youth Specialists and Transition Specialists to ensure they know their duties, timelines, and procedures for the program.  Supervise the Youth Specialists and Transition specialists, including UltiPro time management, job training, SMART Goals, and performance evaluations. Provide disciplinary action as needed.

Keep up with openings in the program and work to fill them and keep the class at 100% enrollment. Conduct enrollments and orientations for new students. Keep attendance records of all participants.  Maintain an up-to-date log of each participant within their group, regarding progression through ABE/ESL course, work-based strengths and preferences, wage information, behavioral information, on-the-job training progress, placement, employer contacts and retention of employment or further education.

Communicate with participants' individual case managers for co-case management between Partners and Goodwill. Be actively on-call for any behavioral issues that occur in ABE classroom. Provide roaming assistance and coaching to students, one-on-one, to address immediate issues and resolve them quickly to aid in job retention, as needed.  Transportation of participants to program activities on an as needed basis in Goodwill NCT van.

Coordinate partnerships for guest training speakers and employment opportunities throughout the community.  Work effectively with employers, other staff, employees, clients, consumers, referral agencies, and other community entities on a day-to-day basis. Remain up to date with community options by researching resources and attending community meetings.  Continue and maintain Mentor Mixers, Graduation, and other AEL related events.

Maintain confidentiality with information such as case notes and client information.  Keep track of timecards and payroll. Responsible for Workforce Development and TWC monthly reports, TEAMS reporting, and  attends and participates in staff meetings, case management meetings, training sessions, etc., as required by the Agency. Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission.

Skills & Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor's degree required. Two years of experience working with people in poverty or disadvantaged youth.  Experience with youth and adult programs with multiple barriers to employment is highly preferred.  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members. Proficient in standard computer operating systems and relevant software.  Must have computer skills sufficient to perform the requirements of the position.  At least two years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:  Office environment, mobile, ability to sit for long periods of time, and able to lift 10-15 lbs. Must have reliable transportation.

Legal Requirements:  Documentation to satisfy I-9, Valid Class C driver’s license, MVR, ability to pass drug screen and background
