What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Contract GSA position at Goodwill KY?
The Supervisor will oversee, supervise, and direct employees in maintaining the cleanliness of buildings in assigned areas.
Essential Job Functions:
- Keeps a daily checklist of all cleaning activities.
- Supervises employees on off-site jobs, working with them to ensure all tasks are completed to standard, per S.O.W. and within the allotted time.
- Meets with Project Manager to ensure the cohesiveness of the on-site supervision.
- Responds to requests from customer/tenants for immediate clean-up.
- Maintains attendance and sign in/sign out sheet on a daily basis.
- Tracks the use of all cleaning equipment and utensils; to include cleaning towels.
- Reports any broken or damaged equipment to the Project Manager within 24 hours.
- Reports any needed cleaning supplies to Project Manager.
- Sends and responds to emails pertaining to operation.
- Reads and abides by Statement of Work (SOW) for the contract.
- Reads and abides by Quality Control Program implemented for the contract.
- Reads and abides by the AbilityOne Handbook.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.
Positions Supervised: Janitorial personnel.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 yrs. experience in janitorial duties.
- 1 yr. experience in floor care.
- Ability to read and write.
- Must have proficient PC skills with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be physically mobile in different settings and layouts.
- Must be able to work with people with disabilities.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and work with a diverse workforce.
- Must have basic knowledge of maintenance and custodial work.
- Must be able to perform all janitorial tasks on a daily basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions, including safety procedures and correct safety issues, if possible.
- Maintains First Aid Certification.
- Must attend all mandatory training sessions as assigned.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to obtain a Federal Security clearance.
