Job Summary:
The IT Field Service Technician is responsible for front line support of all IT equipment &
systems, such as point-of-sale (POS) registers, ROBarT production workstations, credit card
terminals, office computers, mobile devices, printers, and network devices here at the corporate
headquarters & remote retail store or Mission Services offices throughout Ventura & Santa Barbara
Counties. The IT Field Service Technician works with other IT staff in installing, maintaining, and
troubleshooting technical equipment & software. This position will support employees of Goodwill
Industries of Ventura & Santa Barbara Counties, affiliated entities, and contracted partners. The
IT Field Service Technician will report directly to the IT Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Provides troubleshooting, updating & replacement of IT hardware as needed at all GWVSB sites.
2. Services all corporate office & warehouse workstations & peripherals as needed.
3. Services network infrastructure (switches, routers, hubs, ADP clocks etc.) as necessary.
4. Configures, patches, & upgrades computer software programs as needed (including but not limited
to Microsoft Office applications, cloud-based systems.
5. Services ethernet (CatS/6) cabling & wireless networks, cable management, termination & testing.
6. Assists in servicing LP cameras, NVRs/DVRs & associated wiring.
7. Advises management as to necessary upgrades.
8. Services proprietary POS/ROBarT, eCom & Loss Prevention systems in retail & HQ warehouse
settings.
9. Services various multipurpose print/scanning devices for POS, ROBarT & end user devices.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak/read/write proficient English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and all current MS operating Systems.
• Proficient with routers, switches, and other networking devices.
• Ability to travel to any Goodwill location within Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with both GW & OEM vendor support staff.
• Ability to maintain work area clean and organize.
• Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask.

As a Goodwill Industries of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties Office Staff member, this position requires an extended introductory period of one- hundred and eighty (180) days from the date of hire.
Salary : $25 - $27
