What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Supervisor - Kino Store position at Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona?
How this role supports our mission:
The Store Supervisor will supervise all store personnel in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. Work in conjunction with the Store Manager to maximize collections, production, sales, salvage, and customer service.
What we require from you:
Do the right thing.
Securely handles cash, cash receipts, bank deposits, the safe combination, and keys to the store as assigned.
Report all unusual or suspicious occurrences as they happen, or are brought to your attention, to the Store Manager.
Assist in preparing employee weekly work and break schedule. Set up the daily “to do” lists and ensure the work gets done.
Assist in recruitment and selection process as needed.
Communicate and assist customers and donors as needed.
Assist Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the Store.
Conduct “Managing by Walking Around” throughout the entire day
Ensure cleanliness and image of Store.
Provide customer service skills that are patient, friendly, kind, and polite, while working in a busy retail operation.
Be an excellent team member who willingly helps others, learns new tasks, uses tools, and resources appropriately, and behaves safely.
Ability to carry out all functions of a Store Associate (see How this role supports our Mission above).
Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and environment.
Ability to life a minimum of 30 pounds, stand for long periods of time, and bend, reach, and stretch repeatedly during a shift.
Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction.
Basic math aptitude.
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including nights and weekends).
Willingness to transfer to other stores as requested.
