Part-Time Non-Exempt (Temporary)
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Performs routine data entry work. Work involves entering data and maintaining documentation. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. The Data Entry clerk is expected to be professional while upholding the Goodwill values of-Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Customer service
- Answering phones
- Performs data entry
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned by Director of Mission Services & VITA Cash Coalition.
- Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community.
- Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals.
- Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure participant confidentiality and privacy is paramount.
- Develop reporting and file management procedures in the accurate data reporting. Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma and one ( 1) year experience in data entry
- Must be Bilingual (Spanish and English)
- Professional work ethic with the ability to work independently
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet targets and deadlines Ability to manipulate a computer and use basic office equipment
PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
- Knowledge of data entry equipment and office practices and procedures.
- Ability to detect and resolve error conditions, to select and transcribe data, and to communicate effectively.
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Sedentary work.
NOTE: Hours are in the evening during the week and 9:00 a.m. - noon on Saturdays. Position is temporary with an immediate hire through April.
