Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the Store Manager or designee, the Apparel Pricer is responsible for accurately sorting, evaluating, and pricing apparel donations in accordance with established guidelines. This role ensures that all apparel is appropriately categorized, tagged, and prepared for display on the sales floor, while maintaining quality standards and supporting store presentation.
Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure 100% donor and customer delight through professional and courteous interactions.
- Sort apparel donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories, placing non-salable items into designated containers.
- Use baseline pricing guidelines to accurately price apparel based on brand, style, quality, and current retail trends.
- Identify and apply special pricing for designer labels, vintage clothing, and other high-value apparel items.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of apparel brands, styles, trends, and seasonal demand.
- Keep pricing workstations clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies.
- Transport priced apparel to the sales floor, ensuring proper rotation and placement according to merchandising standards.
- Perform markdowns and re-pricing in compliance with agency policy.
- Ensure apparel displays are neat, appealing, and aligned with visual merchandising guidelines.
- Assist hangers and sorters as needed to maintain smooth production and store stocking.
- Follow all safety, security, and operational procedures, reporting hazards to management.
- Meet daily production goals for apparel processing and pricing.
- Participate in training sessions as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
- Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
Required Education, Experience, and Special Skills and Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
- Prior experience in apparel retail, fashion merchandising, or thrift store operations preferred.
- Knowledge of apparel brands, fabrics, quality indicators, and garment construction.
- Basic math skills for accurate pricing and markdowns.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work quickly without sacrificing accuracy.
- Ability to maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude and professional appearance.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical activities such as bending, standing, and moving racks of clothing.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation.
Certificates and licenses: Current driver's license.
