Transportation & Fleet Operations
- Oversee daily transportation of goods, equipment, and materials across all locations
- Develop and manage routing and scheduling for drivers using operational data to improve efficiency
- Ensure preventive maintenance and repairs are completed for fleet vehicles and equipment
- Monitor fleet performance, availability, and fuel efficiency; make improvement recommendations
- Investigate and resolve service disruptions, delays, or breakdowns quickly
- Conduct audits of routes, vehicles, and loads using data, GPS, and direct observation
Salvage & Revenue Operations
- Oversee post-retail salvage flow to meet or exceed revenue goals
- Build and manage relationships with salvage vendors to maximize pricing and service
- Identify opportunities to expand salvage categories, recycling efforts, and waste diversion
- Ensure accurate inventory control and proper handling of donated goods
Leadership & Team Development
- Supervise drivers, warehouse staff, and support team members
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate employees to drive performance and engagement
- Ensure proper staffing levels and scheduling for efficient operations
- Monitor certifications, compliance, and performance standards
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all safety regulations
- Promote and enforce safe work practices in transportation, loading, and equipment use
- Oversee vehicle inspections, accident reporting, and incident response
- Maintain safe, clean facilities, vehicles, and operational environments
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage transportation and salvage budgets, controlling labor and operating costs
- Track and report key metrics (on-time performance, salvage revenue, fuel usage, safety, labor)
- Partner with leadership to improve processes and meet operational goals
What You Bring
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, fleet, salvage, or warehouse operations
- 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Experience with salvage operations and vendor negotiations
- Experience with routing, scheduling, and fleet management systems
- Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment
Salary : $55,000 - $59,000
