Helms College is seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Medical Assistant (MSMA) Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for careers in the healthcare field. This is a full-time, 52-week, campus-based position requiring a Monday through Friday schedule. Typical work hours fall between 8 AM to 5 PM, with an occasional Saturday event such as graduation, job fairs, and skills workshops.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success and bring both clinical expertise and real-world experience from a medical office setting. This role plays a key part in preparing students for industry certification, job readiness, and ethical service in healthcare environments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging instruction in accordance with the approved MSMA curriculum

Maintain classroom and clinical lab environments that promote hands-on learning

Provide regular feedback, guidance, and support to students

Participate in campus events such as open houses, graduation, and student enrichment activities

Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records

Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to Helms College’s mission

Ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and industry standards

Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student retention and completion
- Graduate of an accredited medical program, having earned a certificate, diploma, or degree
- Three (3) years of recent experience in a medical facility
- Must be certified or registered (CMA, RMA, or CCMA, RN, LPN, BSN), or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, plus occasional Saturdays
- Strong communication skills and a sincere passion for helping students achieve their goals
Preferred Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field
