Position Summary:
As a Life Coach, you will work one-on-one with clients to help them identify their goals, create actionable plans, and navigate obstacles to success. You will serve as a trusted confidant, motivator, and accountability partner, empowering clients to make positive changes and achieve their desired outcomes in various areas of their lives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments and consultations with clients to understand their needs, aspirations, and challenges.
- Collaborate with clients to establish realistic and measurable goals in areas such as career, relationships, health and wellness, personal development, and life transitions.
- Develop personalized coaching plans tailored to each client's unique strengths, values, and circumstances.
- Provide ongoing support, encouragement, and guidance to help clients overcome obstacles, gain clarity, and stay focused on their goals.
- Utilize effective coaching techniques, tools, and exercises to facilitate self-discovery, growth, and positive change.
- Foster a supportive and nonjudgmental coaching environment where clients feel empowered to explore their potential and take meaningful action.
- Hold clients accountable for their commitments and progress, offering constructive feedback and challenging them to stretch beyond their comfort zones.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in coaching, personal development, and related fields to enhance coaching effectiveness and client outcomes.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions, adhering to ethical guidelines and standards of conduct.
- Continuously evaluate and adjust coaching strategies and techniques based on client feedback and progress towards goals.
Requirements:
- Certification or training in life coaching, counseling, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a life coach, counselor, mentor, or similar role, with a track record of helping clients achieve meaningful results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport, actively listen, and provide empathetic support to clients.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a positive and solution-focused mindset.
- Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others succeed and thrive.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work independently and manage your coaching practice effectively, including scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and marketing your services.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and pursue additional certifications or training as needed.
- Proficiency in using coaching tools and technology platforms for remote coaching sessions (if applicable).

Education and experience:
- High School Diploma required, Associate’s Degree in a social services field preferred.
- 2 years’ experience working with people with disabilities in rehabilitation-related fields preferred.
- Computer Science and IT experience preferred.
- Social Media experience preferred.
- Certifications required in First Aid and CPR and Provider Certification Rule training from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
