Job Description
Child Protective Specialists (CPS III) will be working together with DFPS caseworkers in providing supervision of children without placement (CWOP). Children can vary in age, but primary the population that will be worked with is children that can range from 10-17 years of age. Responsibilities of the position include assisting the DFPS caseworker with monitoring children and ensuring their needs are met during their office or community location stay to include safety, food, medication, hygiene, education and entertainments/recreational activities.
Looking for individuals that have experience working with children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or have prior experience working for a child welfare agency
Travel mileage will be reimbursed once a month at the current state rate for any mileage travelled from the location of the CPS's identified headquarters to the location CWOP supervision is being held. Mileage will not be reimbursed for travel from CPS's residence to their headquarters for CWOP supervision.
