What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donated Goods Processor position at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER NEBRASKA?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Processing donated materials for shipping and/or storage.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (NOTE: Qualified persons with disabilities are encouraged to apply. Reasonable accommodation will be made.)
1. To process and prepare donated goods for shipment to our Goodwill stores, E-commerce Department, or for temporary storage.
2. To meet daily goals both quantity and quality.
3. Assist with training of other employees who may be needed to do the same or similar work.
4. Keep work area neat, orderly and free of safety hazards (i.e. keep aisle ways clear, keep floor free of items which may be slip or fall hazards, etc.).
5. Assist in retail stores as needed.
6. Perform work activities in conformance to Goodwill Values Statement which includes the values of Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Stewardship, Learning, Teamwork and Entrepreneurial Spirit.
7. Immediately report any wrongdoing, unethical or improper conduct, fraud, fiscal mismanagement or misappropriation of funds, etc. (Refer to the Corporate Compliance Program Policy and Procedure for instructions on how to report.)
8. Encourage and do not hinder in any way an employee making a report pertaining to Goodwills Corporate Compliance Program Policy and Procedure or making a report of work injury.
9. Ensure no employee is retaliated against in any way as a result of making a report related to Goodwills Corporate Compliance Program Policy and Procedure or making a report of work injury.

Qualifications:EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Needs to have basic level of reading and writing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Skill in communicating in spoken conversation - adequate volume speech. Skill in writing, reading and mathematics.
2. Visual acuity, depth perception, field of vision within normal range and accurate color vision. Ability to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or textures.
3. Normal hearing required for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
4. Be able to move safely about work area and be ambulatory on all surfaces and situations.
5. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., frequently lifting twentyfive pounds. push, pull up to 800 lbs. an average of 4 times per day with a pallet jack or power jack.
6. Bilateral use of hands for repetitive single grasp and release tasks and fine manipulation.
7. Ability to stand at least 4 hours per day and physical stamina to work up to 8 hours per day.
8. Have full active range of motion of all extremities, ability to reach above and below shoulders, ability to bend/squat, twist, kneel at least 15 times per hour.
9. Ability to tolerate heat and humidity up to 91 degrees.
10. Ability to safely operate a forklift to move product.
