Material Processor, Part time

BASIC FUNCTION: To process, price and transfer purchased goods for the stores.

The hourly wage for the Material Processor position is $13.73

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Separate, price and pack all purchased goods in a timely manner
• Price/transfer new goods according to department standards
• Accurately complete required paper work and account for inventory dollars
• Completely deactivate any necessary labeling according to vendor agreements
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the Purchased Goods area and assigned workstations.
• Scan incoming deliveries
• Routinely use a computer to check in, price check, scan product and process transfers.

QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Education, Certifications, Experience)

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Some mathematical ability. Retail experience preferred.

PHYSICAL/EMOTIONAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste or smell and operate computer.
• The employee must often lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
