Truck Driver - CDL Class A

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is hiring a CDL driver for their East Cleveland warehouse.

This work schedule is a 1st shift, consisting of four 10-hour days. Routes are local, between our warehouse and stores. You will be home every evening and have 3 days off a week!

• Class A Commercial Driver's License required
• Two years of truck driving experience and a clean driving record are required
• Two motor experience preferred
  
  

Essential Functions

• Ensures that assigned deliveries and pickups of materials, merchandise, and mail between retail stores, ADCs, warehouses, and corporate offices are completed promptly and in accordance with organizational policies and procedures. 
• Completes manifest on the tablet after each pickup and delivery.
• Ensures that loading and unloading of vehicles is performed using sound safety practices (e.g., lifting, proper equipment use) and that accidents are reported promptly to the immediate supervisor. 
• Operates assigned vehicles safely and lawfully, according to the laws of the State of Ohio and Goodwill's policies and procedures. 
• Provide on-site assistance with donations to ensure work is done on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures. 
• Ends every donor interaction with "You changed a life today, thank you!"
• Report vehicle repairs and/or maintenance needs to the transportation manager promptly.
• Establish and maintain a cooperative, functional work relationship with team members and transportation
• Daily completes all required paperwork (vehicle logs, maintenance reports, mileage reports, etc.) accurately and promptly, in accordance with policies and procedures. 
• Maintain high standards of donor and customer relations through prompt, efficient, friendly, and courteous service. 
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, neat, and safe manner through regularly scheduled cleanings, in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. 
• Perform routine maintenance checks (fluid levels, etc.) on vehicles promptly, according to the organization's policies and procedures. 
• Attending in-service and related training as assigned by the transportation manager.
• Follow all agency safety policies and guidelines. Actively participates with supervisors and team members to address identified safety concerns.
• Embodies DGR MODE guiding principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  
  

This full-time position pays $25.75 per hour with available benefits of Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Accident, Retirement with company match, paid holidays, and generous Paid Time Off.
